Sites in Monetization

Multiple sites can be created in Monetization to separate your business into different markets. For instance, you can have a site for the US market and another for the European market. Then, these two sites can have their specific customers, invoices, and analytics.

Furthermore, having a separate site can allow for different product catalogs for each site based on the market.

Create a site

Under sites, to create a site, click Create new. There are three sections, namely:

Site information

Under the site information section, provide a site name and the necessary company details. The details include the following information:

  • Email address
  • Organization
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Country
  • State
  • City
  • Zip code

Environment setup

Under the environment setup section, configure the environment for the site with the following settings:

  • URL — registers a domain in the background for the site.

  • UI Language — language that reflects on the user interface in Monetization.

  • System Language — language configured internally for Monetization.

  • Time zone

  • Currency

  • Environment — sandbox (test) environment or production environment.

  • Invoice due delay — depicts how many days it takes for the invoice to be due.

  • Show details on the invoice — depicts whether Monetization should keep track of all the usage events and history, which can be shown on the invoice by configuring the template.

  • Customer portal enabled? — If the customer portal is enabled, the self-care portal is enabled for that site. If the customer portal is enabled and the mailing server is configured, after onboarding a customer and creating user information, the customer receives login details to the self-care portal where they can see their account details.

  • SMTP — Mailing server configuration settings. Provide the following information for the server configuration set up:

    • From — SMTP server email address
    • Username — SMTP server username
    • Password — Password for the username
    • Host — SMTP server host name
    • Port — SMTP server port number
    • Tls — Used to set secure connection or not. Enable it if you are using a secure connection. After filling in these details, use the Test SMTP connection button to verify email delivery.
